The Earth seen from Apollo 17

The Earth

Earth (also known as Tellus or Terra), the third planet of an 8-planet (or 10 if you count the dwarf planets Pluto and Ceres) star system orbiting an absolute magnitude 4.8 star, is the home world of the human race. The planet is also a self-governing colony of the planet Jurai, known as Colony World 0315.  However, the general population of the planet is unaware that it is a colony of Jurai, except for select Earth governments which the Jurai Royal Family is in touch with.
In measurements, the Earth has a mean radius of 6,371 kilometers (6378.1 equilatrial), with a polar radius of 6,356.8 kilometers, has a total mass of 5.9736×10 to the 24th power kilograms, a gravimetric force of 9.780327 m/s, and has an atmosphere roughly composed of 78 percent nitrogen, 21 percent oxygen, and 1 percent of mixed gasses. The orbit around the sun takes roughly 365 days, and its rotation takes roughly 23.5 hours.
The crust of the planet is mostly composed of silicates, with water covering 3/5 of the surface, and is broken-up into plates that float upon the molten mantle. The core of the planet is composed of a molten outer core of iron, which covers a solid inner core of iron which rotates within the outer core, which in turn generates the planet's magnetic field.
The planet also has one major satellite, the Moon, also known as Luna, that orbits the Earth roughly once every 28 days, and is the only celestial body ever visited by Earthlings using their current technology.
